Tarot Talk: Seven of Swords
Welcome back to another week of Tarot Talk! Today I wanna give just a little bit of my own interpretations on the Seven of Swords.
As we know since this is a Sword card we are in the realm of communication, mindset, and analytics. 7’s are a shift, space to think, before we progress down a path. Now usually the 7 of swords points to deceit. Something being hidden from you or made unclear.
What I would like to add is sometimes this isn’t lying as in someone telling a falsehood. Sometimes this points to the omission of information. the 7 of swords can also point to wielding information as part of your strategy. If you have an overbearing job and you need to take time for yourself it is not wise to tell them “I’m visiting someone or getting a massage”, instead you emphasize “I have a prior engagement and will not be available”. What is important is your lack of availability which in this case non-negational. Telling people transparently what you have going on is not doing you any favors, you are not lying but you are omitting information.
Information and how much you give is now your most valuable currency to ensure the succession of your plan. When the 7 of swords shows up it is not always telling you “Someone is lying!!” it is asking you to take notice of what you know and if it actually helpful to the goal for other people to know all the things you do. Similar to the other 7’s of the suit the cloudiness and contemplation are present, but to leave some people in the dark for better or for worse does give you an advantage.
Now because this is so short and simple let me add my own personal nuance on what I would say if this was reversed; Which would be a Freudian Slip. Someone telling on themselves or giving you a piece of information that completes a picture without intending to. It’s clarity but it feels accidental or maybe even how you got it is unrelated to what it clairfies. I would say pay attention and if you are present you can’t miss it.
That’s all I got for y’all this week though! Quick shout out to Syra, happy birthday girl!
