When A Loved One Visits

Today I’ll be talking about something a little different. I sometimes can dip and dabble in mediumship which if you are unaware is communication with people who are no longer alive. In my own experience with mediumship spirits usually would only come to me if they have been struggling to get their person of choice attention or to acknowledge that they have been reaching out.

What I have learned through multiple people sharing this same story— and of course me eventually having this experience myself is when a loved one dies there are a series of things that happen. Once the soul accepts the death (which may take some times) and is now getting used to no longer being tied to a physical vessel (which takes time and energy) they will visit you in a dream.

Remember what I said in a previous post, spirit never wants to startle or upset you. That is their first priority always and even if we want them to visit sooner, energy doesn’t lie. If their visit has a bigger recoil on emotion than what is normal to move through they will not visit until you are truly ready. Secondly, when they appear in your dream the essentially set the scene. Usually it will be something that feels so comforting, insignificant, and normal that it can fly below the radar of your conscious mind, they might not even speak or be the focal point in the dream if it’ll alert your conscious mind. It may be something so mundane like helping them take out the trash, etc. They’ll appear to you in a very comfortable way which can differ from how they looked their last moments on earth. The dream will feel so comfortable, ordinary, and short that you won’t recognize that you were “dreaming” of them until after you woke up which is usually when the emotions will show up.

You might want more out of the dreams like answers or whatever, but typically they pass by to let you know that they are okay. Maybe to help you move through something or come to terms with something in your healing journey or waking life, or just cause you’ve been thinking of them heavily and are ready for them to answer your subconscious call to them. Of course after that they are not limited to dreams but for the first time we get to spend time with them after their passing it usually is through our dreams where we are subconscious and our guard is down — a nice in between realm for souls.

If you’ve been visited in your dreams before I’d love to hear about it in Thee Gathering and if you guys are interested I’ll share a few of my very different experience when being visited by a loved one (in my case a few years after their passing, one being a friend and one being family).
