Tarot Talk: Seven of Pentacles

7 of Pentacles from the Modern Witch Tarot

Okay! This week’s tarot talk is about the Seven of Pentacles

Instead of leaning into the traditional associations, i’m just gonna start with my breakdown and keep this short and sweet! Knowing this is a Pentacles card we know we are talking about things that exist in reality i.e on Earth. In the realm of domestic life, work, finances, and daily (usually tedious but necessary) tasks, this suit showcases effort and labor. The 7s in numerology often times can inform us about two aspects.

Aspect 1: Contemplation. Thinking about your goal then making a blueprint (think milestones not details or itinerary) to map out the journey and the effort something will actually take. Aspect 2: Jackpot. After enough contemplation there is an element of risk involved where we must take a step and that courageousness is rewarded handsomely.

Blending these elements to understand the 7 of pentacles, what we can try to grasp when it is paying a visit is: Do I have a blueprint or an itinerary? Is the plan I made now that I’ve taken some steps actually still practical? What are the risk and reward of this journey and are they worth my while? Am I using my time wisely? The Seven of Pentacles wants us to stop and think — appraise the plan and then don’t forget to follow your analysis up with action. What are we gonna do now? What does or doesn’t need to change?

Sometimes the seven of pentacles will talk about both of these elements at once. Letting you know you’ve found your daily groove and now that you understand what works is there a way you can show up to make a deeper investment? Is this even worth investing into or is this about to become a habit of complacency? Of course, this is a pentacles card so you don’t need to be fixated on various different aspects. Pentacles prefers to be concise about the present and the effort, be sure to narrow down your focus to adjusting maybe one or two things max. Every and anything else will come with time anyways.

Short, sweet, and simple like I promised! Catch everyone next week!
