Hello there everyone! Welcome back to Tarot Talk. I usually would skip cards that I feel are pretty straightforward in meaning like most of the aces in tarot. This week I want to add a bit more understanding of this ace for the same reason I clarified the Lovers card before.
Aces simply are the blessing of the aspects the suit rules over. Cups is the suit that rules over connections, emotion, intuition, and creativity. Typically the blessings in this suit will follow that. Often times I see that people will connect this card solely to a new or budding relationship and though this can definietly emphasize a romantic connection, it should not be solely limited to that.
Now here are some ways that the ace of cups can be read without the romantic association!
Having a wider capacity for yourself, usually after a breakthrough of some sort. Think of it like getting more storage for your phone, once your storage is upgraded you don’t feel boggled down by holding a few photos or having to choose between your favorite apps anymore. This can also look like being able to hold a few conflicting realties at once. Being upset at how something turned out and also appreciating how you handled it at the same time, while most improtantly making peace with both of those things at once.
This can also look like “getting your whimsy back” as they say online. Coming back to yourself and being able tap into your unique sense of creativity and freely express yourself without the concerns of others inhibiting your process.
This can be an upgrade in your intuition and how you connect to your gifts or a fortified relationship/understanding between you and your faith.
And lastly this can look like finding your soul family! Finding people who will honor and see you as the person you are and genuinely want the best for you moving forward, people who aren’t looking to commit to misunderstanding you or wanting you to be who they would prefer you to be. This can be kinship in a familial or platonic sense. Great admiration and appreciation.
