Tarot Talk: Knight of Pentacles
I know it’s been a minute (2 weeks) since I posted, life has gotten pretty crazy in a heavy way, but I am back and still persevering. That being said, since it is Virgo season and I’ve already spoken to you about Virgo’s tarot card (the hermit) and a bit about the difference between Mercury’s children (gemini and virgo), I decided I should tell you guys about a card that personally always gave me virgo energy!
Let’s break it down slow and steady (no pun intended). Pentacles as we know is synonmous with Earth. The things in reality, the daily duty, the effort/labor of it all, and of course the resources (money, home, and sometimes family). Court cards (page/daughter, knight/son, queen/mother, king/father depending on the deck) are essentially the archetypes within their suits. They speak of people in particular, not just moments in a story like you can sometimes view the other cards as. They’ll point to levels of maturity (interpersonally), age, and of course the skills and stigmas that come with their respective suits. Court cards are here to teach us about the characters in a situation or traits that we possess and should lean into.
The Knight of Pentacles is a studious and thorough worker. Just like the rest of the members in the pentacles court, there can be slower than their peers in the other suits. The knight understands that things may take time especially if they are going to be prosperous and sustainable. This knight may come across a bit reserved in personally (earth doesn’t make a bunch of noise unlike the other elements lol) and may be a bit dry in communication style. They can be a great listener though and values responsibility making them pretty reliable. On the downside this knight can also be a bit of a perfectionist, which may add to them taking so long and may have a habit of overthinking the little things. In some cases (not traditionally, but you may get the vibe for it) they aren’t usually self-possessed meaning they can usually work hard for their team but leave their own ambitions neglected if it benefits no one else. This is usually a young adult they give junior-senior year vibes.
Can you see why the remind me of virgo? Hard working, maybe a bit too concerned for perfection, very practical, a nurturer, and social but not outgoing. Happy Virgo season and birthday to the virgo’s, that’s all I have for this week!
